That was what I called my plan to get my 60+ year old dad to play FFXIV and secretly befriend him in-game. We would adventure together before finally, when the time was right, I would reveal that I was in fact his own son.
Translators Note: This is a series of screencap blog entries about the author, Maidy, and his “Father of Light” plan. These entries were written from August 2014 to April 2016. All formatting is a near-copy from the original entries, and images are included (some have been altered with translations).
Welcome to the first post of many about the special menus I’ve been able to taste at the Eorzea Café. In part this is kind of filler stuff between translating The Father of Light since these are more organic posts, but I also want to share my photos and stuff! Anyway, we start with the 2016 Starlight Celebration menu, which I went to the café twice during! Let’s start off with the menu itself. Continue reading “Eorzea Café – Starlight Celebration 2016”→
Hello and welcome to the “Mimi Forgot About Shit” special edition.
Jokes aside, been busy with work, JLPT, Stormblood, Hatsune Miku… life… and at some point this project slipped my mind. And now the drama’s already on international Netflix! Whoopsie doodles!
I know most of you guys don’t really come here for more than the translations, but for those that are interested, I plan to make a post about the Eorzea Symphony coming up, as I’m going with the same friends I went to IRL Coils with so I wanna do a post about it to compile my thoughts. I’d also like to maybe do a semi-regular posting about Eorzea Cafe special limited time menus, as I’ve been to most of them at least once so I’ve got tons of pics (and hopefully I can make time for the current Rising one soon) and figure some people might be interested in that.
Anyway, I’ve made major progress on chapter 11 and started bits of 12, so expect updates again soon. For those that have already watched the drama, there are differences! And for those who haven’t yet, please do watch the drama on Netflix! It’s definitely a dramatized version of the blog series, but it’s very endearing and adorkable.
